About Douglas Stewart

Douglas Stewart literally began his real estate career with hammer in hand so that in the year 2000 after devoting over 25 years to residential construction and remodeling, and 3 years as a business Broker, he became a licensed Texas Realtor®, and a Broker in 2005. Continuing his education, due to his passion for the Spanish language, he achieved his MA degree in Spanish in 2012, which helps him to serve the growing Hispanic population of Texas. Possessing a critical eye for detail and having served hundreds of buyers and sellers during his career, Douglas offers exceptional expertise so that his clients can feel confident about their property investment and of his commitment to helping them successfully achieve their ultimate goals. He is a firm and confident negotiator having studied the Harvard Negotiating Projects negotiation skills course work and is always kind and respectful in his desire to reach a true “win-win” outcome for all parties in a transaction.

Douglas has devoted his career and private life to service and volunteerism and has given countless hours as an ESOL instructor and as a Board member at the Austin Waldorf School. He has lived in the hill country west of Austin for the past 48 years and has developed a deep love of the land and a complete understanding of the systems and infrastructure that are required when purchasing a home, ranch, or undeveloped property.
